There's a complete chess set scene included with the standard povray
installation.  You should be able to find it in povscn/level3/chess.pov

It was written under an older syntax, so there is an error that you will
have to fix before you can render.  Every occurence of "declare" needs to be
changed to "#declare" .  Then it should render fine.
