I find the way it currently works to be totally intuitive and don't see the
need for change. If you have to set a flag, and it becomes possible to
render from a viewpoint other than what's in the preview window, THAT
would be counter-intuitive, IMHO.
It ain't broke.
However, I -do- notice that when you delete a spotlight, the spot cam
remains on the object list...
