Oh, don't get me wrong, it's great when they're pre-teens, and then all
of a sudden they think they're a 'man' when they get to 18. How wrong they
are. :/
BTW, you're getting warmer Andrew.

Oh I don't know, I'm not sure I'd enjoy being woken up every 2 hours. ;-)
("I slept like a baby last night." "...what, you woke up every 2 hours??")
And in general, being around kids just tends to annoy me. Rapidly.

At this point I'd come up with some speech about how people are
different and not everyone is like this or something... but then, that's
not really much help, is it?
(Just as one data point... I'm 28, not 18, and I doubt I'll *ever* be a
"man".)

Well, I enjoyed it.

Heh, well, I can't ever remember it affecting my work day, so it wasn't
that bad.

Maybe because they're not your own. I think it's different when you
have your own and they're at that age when you can play-fight, and they
*always* win! :)

Not really. It hasn't actually sunk in properly yet for me, but last
night, *my* life changed, (yet again). <sigh>
I've got some serious thinking to do, and quite honestly, I'm done with
thinking.

Well, to be honest, I would agree with that. I'm not really sure what
would constitute as a 'man', but I guess getting through life's struggles
'yourself' is a good start.

Mmm, possibly. Jamie keeps telling me how cool it is. (Then again, Jamie
has two beautiful little girls with long gold hair and a smiling
addiction...)

Damn. And to think my problem is that my life *doesn't* change... o_O

OK, great. Now I have that God-awful poem by Mr Kipling in my head... >_<

Well, yeah, it's nice to see your kids being fed when they need it, and
it's nice feeding them too. (Of course, it's not so nice with the changing,
heh).

I totally understand him. He'll think differently when they get older
though.

Well, that's down to you my friend. At the end of the day, it's what you
want *out* of life.

Hehe ... actually kids annoyed me, then we had one.
He gets on my nerves sometimes, but for the most part he's pretty neat.
I'll just be glad when he reaches the "communicate with real words"
stage instead of the "standing in front of you pitching an epic fit"
stage he's in now.

Uh oh... Not good.
Hopefully he steps up and does the right thing in regards to taking care
of a child. They're a lot of hard work.

All of the nice girls will probably be gone by then ;-)

Yep. Pretty much. My favorite is the "point in some vague direction and
grunt. When parent offers item from vague direction, emphatically shake
you head no"
