Andrew, if you get REALLY hacked off with FC, remember that you can download
a whole stack of free custom maps. Some of them are *way* better than FC
itself made with 'other' professional game producers. Try the 'Matto'
series. Man, that's good with hard levels that you can finish (in a real way
from what I remember) without hitting a chopper 14 times. Just tryin' to
help because I know what you're going through - I must have tried to beat
that level more than 50 times myself. It's a bu88er, but it isn't
impossible - Gails' answer is the best to swim ashore and hide behind that
palm tree, although you can still beat it from the ship itself if you're a
good shot with the RL. :)

From the last checkpoint, I have a pistol, a P90, a sniper rifle, and
some kind of SMG with a zoom scope on it. (Seems to be more damaging
than the other SMG I had...) I'm standing in front of a rocket launcher
and several boxes of rockets though...

What's an OICW? And... it has HE rounds?

Yeah, well, it's getting that way. Always seems a pitty to do it though.
[For example, this is the only way I could complete Disposable Hero.
Damn that game is hard!]

Indeed.

Well, I'd prefer not to, but we'll see...

You haven't picked up an OICW yet? I might be wrong, (it's some time
since I've played FC, I'm in Crysis mode atm - wait till you play this
game!), but look for a guard tower on top of a 'high' hill. If you have to
go back, then do that for the OICW. It's worth it. It's a powerful rifle
with a good hit score. Two or three rounds instead of ten bullets+ to kill
with the AK47. Of course, the Sniper rulez if you're clever enough, and I'm
sure you are. :)

Of course! Because it's a GOOD game! You have to do the distance to
realise this.

Go hide behind that tree if you haven't done it already. :)

Ah-hah... palm tree FTW!
OK, I *finally* got off that part where I've been stuck for the past 3
days. Yay.
Oh, neat. That's not the end. There's even more. And now I have *four*
choppers and several patrol boats chasing me down the river. Superb! o_O

The part with Crow and the helecopter was chapter 14. There are 20.

Get off the river. It's safer to walk than use a boat.

Oh, that's a good level, yes, definately walk/stealth it.

I got stuck on that bit for ages too, I hid inside the boat at the top, then
took shots out the side doors with the rocket launcher. If you hit the
helicopter enough times before the boat sinks then it will fly away.
