Well - this does not invalidate my statement, does it?
Also note mixing internal references with external links the way it is
done there is not optimal from the users' standpoint - to find a link to
the Blender website from
http://www.wikipov.org/ow.asp?SoftWare
for example i first have to go to another subpage. It is also somewhat
chaotic and unstructured in other ways - in the 'external links'
http://www.wikipov.org/ow.asp?ExternalLinksFrontPage
you for example don't find the above 'software' page. So in addition to
my previous statement i sould probably add that there don't only have to
be people working on the links themselves but also on maintaining a
consistent structure of the collection.

That's of course very true, and it's obvious that the current structure
of the Wiki is not perfect. Keep in mind, though, that the Wiki is
comparatively young, so the "final" structure is not clear, yet. Feel
free to suggest one or to implement it yourself :) After all, that's
what a Wiki is all about.

For most wikis it is good to have a clearly defined 'unit of
information' it is based on. This helps to structure the information.
For example wikipedia has the unit of the article which can be cross
referenced, put into article groups with an index page etc. In a link
collection this unit obviously should be the link (with annotated
information) which is a comparitively small unit. With this a link can
be part of several categories (Blender for example could be in
'modelers', 'renderers' and 'free tools').
