I only asked are they willing to grand licence to distrubiute PovRAY along
with commercial program on one CD (since "please go to www.povray.org and
download, etc..." is not tolerable - program must be lames-friendly and
install everything from my program to povray renderer in "one click").

We do have a lawyer AFAIK (it's boss job to sign licence, not mine, but
since I know PovRAY and my boss just found about it when I suggested is as
rendere...).

Ok, this will make things easier.

Uhm? I will not write renderer myself in one moth fro scratch ;) so only
option is to use another product, isn't it?

IIRC performing action after one click is pattented somewhere.
Or is it only for buying ? http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/amazonpatent.html

We will worry about that when selling to countries with quite
<rot13>shpxrq hc</rot13> pattents laws, like the USA (btw, another reason
to "love" this country), AFAIK distributor is now willing to sell it in
Poland, then perhaps in UE (don't know about plans for USA).

Yes, after that I go to pointed WWW and read license, and from what I
understand I have to ask for license/permission in writting, so I did write
request same day (or was it next day?) and no response, even reading
confirmation so far.

When I would HAVE to use other renderer, then logo will say -
uses Blender renderer, or uses Rayshade renderer(lol - it's quite old today
;), or last possibility - we will drop writting this program in general
(because budget is too low probably to buy some other good rendering
solution in this first version of the program).

I didn't respond yet because I am very busy right now. Other folks who send
email to the team co-ordinator address have to on occasions wait up to two
weeks for me to assess the request, and you have only waited 8 days.

I will now look at what you have written and respond.

Incidentally if a request needs to be handled urgently you ought to say
so in the email. Your email made no reference to a deadline.

Sorry about that and thank You very much, I will reply to email right-now.

PovRAY is important part of program, but on the other hand any 3d renderer
can be oused, and 90% of work in program is done in top-to-down view
editing 2D floor plans (in editor that I will write in C++), one of options
of program will be to save plans in some formats, -OR- to dump all data to
a 3D format, including .pov'ray and call povray renderer then to make nice
visualiztion of work effects.

I realy would love to use povray, since I know it best.

PovRAY *output* (renders) will also be used in program (but for that we
don't need agreement AFAIK).

80% of program is that 2D editor, perhaps with some small wire-frame-3d
preview (openGL maybe). Then results can be saved to .bmp etc, perhaps to
some vector 2d format, and hopefully to .pov.

I will cleryfie in email.

Let me again cleryfie here - important - it is a cool and interesing future
to have 3D visualization, and it is very important to me right now since I
already promise it (and I will be learning some other 3d program, or OpenGL
in other case).

But this is a CAD program, with additional (yet cool and fun) possibility
of seeing 3d results of work. It can work without any 3D renderer (only -
my boss will kill me for changing my mind, but thats other case ;), and it
definetely can work without PovRAY.

I think adding other 3d visualization (like OpenGL) is a good idea, I was
hoping to add it a bit later in second edition of program (and now to allow
vector formats) but since PovTeam dont want PovRay to be an essential part
of a program I will start with at least wire 3d preview (since I dont have
too much time to learn OpenGL good, and I know PovRay quite well :)

Thanks, I talk it over it with PovTeam cordinator, unfortunetly PovRAY will
not be probably distributed along with first version of my program, and I
will have to limit my programs support for PovRAY and concentrate on
OpenGL/wireframe rendering - see also my new toppic.

Still, thanks to all PovRay creators for developing such software, with
(even in some uncomfortable license limits) will help me do my commercial
work :)
