I stil dont understand what is point of disallowing peoples to use 3.6 if
they realy want to, woould a warining message be better...?

It is quite stupid that I have to hack a free ware program.

It is also quite stupid to ask the same question again...

There is nothing to be disallowed because there is no 3.6 release.
There is only beta of 3.6 which is dedicated to the users who want to help.
Helping means also understanding development model and not complaining about
it because such discussions waste time which could be used for development
itself. Today is expiry date but be tolerant to time zones, real life and
other difficoulties.

It is not that software is release under conditions designed by users but it
is that users use software under conditions designed by software owner.

You have agreed during installation to the terms of usage. So you were warned
about "stupidity" of developers with years of experience with supporting not
always very intelligent users.

This has been discussed when POV-Ray went into Beta Stages with 3.5, and the
same applies to 3.6: If running versions of various Beta Releases are
floating around the web, there's always some guy that will just look past
the warnings and report bugs that have been taken care of months ago. Thus,
there's a time limit. An expired beta will hardly stay in the web for much
longer than its expiration date.

IMHO, it is stupid to hack a beta. It's by no means finished and should
never be considered "final", why go into the hassle of hacking it?

That aside, what exactly are you using from 3.6 which isn't in 3.5, and
which you so direly need in order to complain about the expiration date
everytime it is passed?

I could be mistaken, but I think the underlying question is:
why is there no beta 3 when my beta 2 expires?

Maybe the developers didn't expect this many stupid questions when they
set the expiration day for beta 2. They didn't have time to finish beta
3 in time because reading these posts...

Let me enumerate:

some developer was ill
some developer was absent and is back today
some developer was on CeBIT
some developer was limited due to library change
some developer was in fight with limitations of free compilers
some developer was ...
some developer ...
some ...

it sometimes happens, real life :-(

Could very well be the case, yes. I also have one.
If that is the case perhaps the link to the beta
could point to a page that says 'sorry no new beta
available, try again later'.
Alternatively perhaps even the same beta 2 could be
available with only the expiration date changed.

Maybe the splash screen of all beta versions should have all possible
"developer conditions" listed...blinking...underlined and in italic...

:-)
