Yes, but it doesn't make any sense in this context. At least not if you
read the message and what he replied to with it. Somehow Bob got it all the

Well, the Active-X object only works in IE. But the script I linked to
doesn't make the page IE only, It simply takes a page that works in all PNG
supporting browsers and *also* makes it work in IE.
Personally, I think this is just another way that MS is trying to beat out
its competition (making designers use Active-X objects rather than standard
HTML for simple stuff like this).

And sorry about the quoting thing, I'm not used to newsgroups, I usually
post in typical UBB forums where quoting isn't necessary (and often
considered annoying). I'll try my best. =)

Of course I should have said "And could you people...". I'm not perfect
either. :)
Quoting properly is rather simple. Look at this article itself as an
example of proper quoting.
Just some simple rules:
1. Quote first, answer then.
2. Remove unnecessary quotes. Quote what you are answering to, nothing else.
3. Don't leave any quote at the end of your post. It serves no-one to leave
something quoted there.
Your response should look something like this:
SomeGuy <som### [at] somewherecom> wrote:
: A statement in the original article.
A response to that statement.
: Another statement in the original article.
A response to this one.
No quotes at the end of the article.

I think it would be nice if something like this could be posted to
povray.announce.frequently-asked-questions, perhaps even inside the AUP, but
not necessarily. The worst case is writing one new line and then quoting
100+ lines in the end of the message, which unfortunately happens quite
often...

People adopt quoting styles that they themselves are comfortable with.
While we have discussed the possiblity of posting something like that
it has been argued that few will comply and we would also end up looking
like a bunch of nit picking control freaks. For the most part the majority
of people around here use acceptable quoting practices. It's not nearly
as bad here as what you see on USENET.
