No, it is because it is still in beta. As soon as everyone here gets a
chance to comment on its functionality, and changes are made, it will be
linked to from the povray.org home page.

Sounds like something that could easily be abused and not likely to happen.

Sorry to be misleading, but not the beta test interface, the
http://www.povray.org/nf-index.html ( no frames) page has a link to
http://www.povray.org/groups.html. This link displays a page of
the newsgroups. I just wondered why this was the only place to
find this link (that I know of).

A client wanted to cancel the contract we had for his company's site
because he claimed he couldn't use the mailbox that came in the web
hosting package. It turned out that the poor guy was so spoiled by the
whole Windows Explorer/IE and Hotmail/OE mess that he had absolutely
no idea these things were different. He thought he had to go to a site
to use e-mail, as in Hotmail, and he was trying to send messages from
his account by going to the site that I made and clicking on the
mailto: link... As I said, he had things messed up pretty badly :)

Speaking of signatures and the web interface, mine shows wrong on the website
for some reason, the '.' in the 2nd line gets doubled..

Eventually he will break his computer's retractable pop holder too.

Wasn't it Elias Pschernig who wrote:

Possible reason:
Lines beginning with '.' are a bit magic in news items. In particular, a
line containing only '.' is the end of article marker. So the news
server adds an extra '.' whenever it sees an actual message line that
happens to begin with one. The news client is supposed to look for lines
beginning with '..' and remove one '.'.

Just checked it out (us oldies may be slow but we do get there
eventualy). Always used OE for news so this is my first time with this
type of access. No problems, easy to use and navigate. Not tried
binaries yet so don't know how that will turn out. No complaints about
layout etc.
I'm using IE 5.5 and Win98SE.
