I prefer "> ".
BTW, another good habit when quoting is only to quote the relevant parts.
For example there's no reason to quote people's (often large) signatures.
Instead write above the quote something like "PersonX wrote:". OE can also
do this automatically.

Yeah ... I've been trying to minimize the reply ...
keep it simple and uncluttered, eh?
BTW ... nice home page.
Thanks,

Can't you just wait untill you go on the road and then edit your current
working account to use AOL, but leave all the pov stuff in that account
as it is, as the pov stuff is independent of any ISP settings. Don't
change the account name or anything like that, just change the necessary
dial up stuff. I'm sure it's possible to do it like that.
That way you'll be bang up to date, and won't have to go through marking
threads that you've already read etc.

Yeah . . . now that I've got it working I'll just use
my local ISP until I get ready to split.

Exactly. :)
One more detail - the part that says "PersonX wrote:" should not be quoted
with "> " because it's not a part of the quote.

Thank you! :)

As the POV-Ray Resource Specialst for AOL, you'd think I could get an
answer to the same question, but I can't. I can get in to these groups
only through the Netscape Communicator Newsgroups area. But, since you
are stuck on AOL <g>, you may want to come and see us at Keyword POV.

Which is correct because if you check the article header you will find out:
>>
X-Copyright: This copyrighted article comes from a private news server and

I assume AOL gets its newsgroup list from USENET and therefore only a real
news client like the one in Netscape will be able to access these groups
because these groups are _not_ part of USENET.
