The voting of the POV-Ray Logo Contest has begun!
Go to http://rsj.mobilixnet.dk/logo/logo.html and submit *your* vote!
The voting is open until two whole days go by without any new votes being
submitted (or at latest November 30).
The voting is only made to get a general idea of the popularity of the
logos - the POV-Team will not necessarily choose the winner logo, or any
logo at all, as the official logo.
Please spread the news about the voting on other POV-Ray related groups you
know. Thank you!

I have received some votes with no e-mail addresses filled in.
You *must* fill in your e-mail address. I will be the only one seeing it, so
you will *not* receive spam because of it. Votes with no e-mail addresses
will be ignored!
So if you have submitted a vote with no e-mail, please resubmit, but this
time with an e-mail address.
If you think you might have forgotten the e-mail in error, but are not sure,
it's better to submit your vote again to be on the safe side. Two votes with
identical e-mail addresses will only count for one.

I should have been reading this group, I was counting on what you told
me a while ago, that the submissions should be in by December.

Oops! I thought I corrected that shortly after...
You have not been reading povray.general for a while?
And you have some logos you would have liked to submit?
I'm afraid it's too late now. - Sorry! :(

No, I heard about the contest and followed the talk on pbi, I haven't
really read pg in more than a year. I have a whole notebook of sketches I've
done at work that I was planning on turning into digital art this month.
No great loss for the pov community though, the few logos there are look
great.

It's a shame. But even though your logos can't be in the contest I would
find it interesting to see them anyway!

Glad I saw this, I was there a short time ago and I know I didn't put a email
address in.
I might as well take this opportunity to speak up about the logo vote. I
couldn't decide 100% on one but I still have a choice above the rest. Just
doesn't seem enough to vote on, and I know I haven't helped the matter by not
trying one myself. Also that I keep seeing how the ones which have been made
might be improved upon but not in words I could describe I believe. Except for
the icon-looking one, or dice-like cube... The left aligned text lines part
isn't indented in usual pov script fashion and the box drawing part seems to
duplicate the effect the logo as a whole already has.
Sorry, neither here nor there now so I guess I should just go back and get my
vote done right this time.
Bob
