It looks pretty awesome to me. I'll probably be using it this weekend
for some gaming images.

Wow! This may be the best pov tool I've ever seen!! I've used Tomtree a few
times, but normally I can't be bothered setting all it's parameters. I'm amazed
by this program, it does so much!

I'm in awe! :)

Have you any plans to write more tools like this? There's lots of pov includes
that would benefit from a nice interface.

Cheers,

Thank you!

The nearest plan is to release final POV-Tree version with all bug fixes.
Next plan is to add interactive editor to it. So that you could edit tree
(move/rotate/scale branches, twigs etc.) in Preview window.

My very old idea is to implement in Java terrain generator based on gforge
generator by John Beale: http://beale.best.vwh.net/
Maybe that will happen :)

Gena.

Very, very, very nice!

But....

whole tree.

Thank you, very usefull

I'll have a look. Maybe a bug. I'm collecting bug reports right now.
So if you will find anything else please let me know.

Gena.

Oops!
I installed POV-Tree on another machine and all
tips are invisible. I'll fix that ASAP.

I'm not really sure what you mean...it worked pretty well for me, the
Sun package installed with no problems under XP. I had a little more
trouble getting things going under Linux, but that works too.

(In case you are wondering, the reason is jEdit, a very nice text editor
that I can use in OS X, WinXP, and Linux. It has a POV-Ray editing mode,
and I've created a Sapphire mode.)

Clicking on download (
http://propro.ru/go/Wshop/tools/files/povtree1.0b.zip )

results in 404 error :(

Yes, it's currently unavailable from that link.
I'm trying to update POV-Tree on my homepage but
I have some access problems.

Just wondering if I can use any POV-Ray newsgroup
to post POV-Tree there.

Meanwhile you can download previous version using
the following link:
http://propro.ru/go/Wshop/tools/files/povtree.zip
