You can go back an upload images in a later session as many times as you
like, if that's what you were asking.

I feel like after waiting for so long we are suddenly being rushed to
make our uploads. I have uploaded mine, but there's a lot of text and
probably rerendering/editing/compressing type stuff to do for each
image, and I think there needs to be some sort of access to your account
where you can edit your uploads or at least see what you've uploaded.

TGA would be a blatant waste of space. For the best lossless compression,
PNG would be a better option, which can also be seen in modern browsers. I
think PNG should be allowed too. It can compress more than JPG in some
cases, and will always look perfect.

I didn't know how many bytes it was exactly but I knew how I'd coded it.

Well,
1) My announcment email of August 30, 2001 to the list who signed up on the
"survey on the bottom of the page" announced an October 31, 2001 deadline.
2) On October 2, 2001, I posted a message here saying we would close October
31, 2001.
3) On August 30, 2001, I posted a message here saying we would close no earlier
than October 31, 2001.
4) I've been talking about this project here since February 25, 200.
How much time do we need?
Admittedly, any deadline is in fact arbitrary, but there comes a time when you
just gotta crack the whip and bring things in.
With the IRTC, when someone uploads an image, it's pretty much a contractual
commitment that the text uploaded with it gets burned to the CD. The upload
form gives one an opportunity to review some information before "committing."
It may prove very difficult for our code team or the editor to handle 17
requests to edit the info on 170 images. So let's be careful out there, but in
extreme cases we can be accomodating.
[Dare I say it? Perhaps the best thing is to just upload the exact same
information "again" and correctly if you have a serious error. NOTE TO STEVE:
would this suggestion kill me with migraines???]

I'd suggest agreeing on something to go into the image title field that marks
the entry as a correction, for example a yellow flower image:
Image Title: [correction] Yellow Flower.
Then we can have a bit of script that searches for any images with the same name
entered in the same section by the same person and use all the text plus the
new/latest image from the correction entry.
But really best just to read your entry before pressing "Submit".
And remember that you can delete entries at the end of the session, so if you know
you've made a big mistake within the current session, delete that image at the end
and the text will be deleted too, then start a new sesseion upload the correct image
and zip file and enter the text you want.
