It seems that
http://davidf.faricy.net/adjust.gif & .html
http://davidf.faricy.net/polywad/poly.html
don't exist?

Fixed, URL should have had images/adjust.gif

That was just my laziness. It's all uploaded now.

in http://davidf.faricy.net/raygall.html there is a link to
http://davidf.faricy.net/adjust.html at the top of the page.
It also needs to be adjusted to images/adjust.gif

Also do you have a method for shearing along a plane defined by two axes
in 3D space?
eg
normal in same plane
^ axis 2
| ^
| /
| /
| / sheared by this angle
|/------------------------------------> axis 1

Doh!! Okay.

Hmm... that might be my next macro then. :)
Axis 3 is perpendicular to both axis 1 and whatever axis is perpendicular to
1 and 2...
I orient axis 3 along z and axis 1 along x...
Then I shear z for x by a factor of tan(angle between 1 and 2)...
Then I reorient. :)

The link to this image is _adjust_your_gamma_, which is a bit misleading.

The image is for adjusting monitor brightness and contrast to optimise
the available dynamic range in current lighting conditions. It's not
related in any way to adjusting or estimating monitor gamma.

Monitor gamma can be adjusted in the display adapter software or
OS utility. The gamma.gif at povray.org helps to estimate the gamma.

Bah! Fine, I'll fix it later.

and y along the normal

Sounds about right :)
