Greetings,
The links page at http://www.povray.org/links/ has been updated.
Sorry for the long delay for this update. I still have a few more
links to add and will make another announcement within a weeks time
when the additions have been made.
You MAY experience some difficulties connecting with povray.org
at this time. This is due to circumstances beyond our control
and we are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
...and thanks for your continued support !

This issue was resolved last night. However we would like to know
if anyone else experienced problems accessing povray.org within
the last few days.
The POV-Ray website is part of a trial of a new web caching scheme.
The web server that you were beening pointed at by the cache stuff
was not functioning properly and was basically telling your browser
this ...
<HEAD><META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0" URL="http://www.povray.org/"></HEAD>
which of course would caused your browser to fetch the page again,
and again, ...
If anyone had a problem please let me know so I can let the proper
people know and so that they can deal with it.
Thanks,

I had some transient outages with the news server today; not sure if
that's what you're looking for or not.

My opinions. Mine. Not anyone else's.

The problem we here having did not affect the news server and was
resolved as of midnight last night. It only affected the povray.org
home page.
The problem only affected those who would have been attempting to
access either-
http://www.povray.org
or
http://WWW.povray.org
Those accessing the site via http://povray.org (minus the www)would
not have experienced the problem.
