Maybe this one: http://members.aol.com/iotadot/lhathcbw.jpg
since I'm in it, and tend to spoil the picture as well.
Not exactly an easy task to choose a favorite rendering. I was a security
patrolman, meaning I drove a car around (4 towns every night) when I was 19
years old (yep, just the one year), so perhaps it fits me very remotely
anyway.

Nieminen,
Great question!
It really had me stumped (ie, got me thinking).
I will go with
http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Studios/1117/largeglass.html
It is my version of the lower half of Marcel Duchamp's [French 'painter']
"The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even".
Now you have put the idea in my head to do a self-portrait
and I am angry with you because I do not need another project:)
BTW I remember when you were working on that image. There was a discussion
about which version was 'better'. In focus or not. I like this one.
Re: Jeff
It seems like ages ago that I downloaded this image. I looked at the source
of the book textures for hours. Definately in my personal HOF.
Re: Greg
I like your web site suggestion. Congradulations on going with a
realistic person. From what I have seen of your work I think you have the
technical expertiece to pull it off.
Re: Mike
I don't know about Gentleman of Leisure but I sure have felt like an insect
sometimes.
Re: TonyB
Good answer, but please link to the image. The monk is very cool.
Re: Bob
I had forgotten about this picture. I remember being jealous of the hat.
I can't believe it is Pov.
Once again I have all you guys to thank for having to spend another tomorrow
with one eye shut. Luckily as I grow older I need less of that sleep stuff.
Peter

I like castles and landscapes... since I haven't gotten to the level of
sophistication that represents me as well as I'd like, I give you my first
public picture at:
http://members.aol.com/castlewrks/metaphaze/frisco/frisc90a.gif
and my most recent creation
http://www.angelfire.com/md2/castlewrks/images/99vista.jpg
You will notice that the Frisco castle was done in 1997... one day I will
revisit the source and update it with the knowledge I've gained through the
years.... one day... I think one with 36 hours instead of 24...

I had never seen that image. Cool. Can you believe you're the first POVer to
actually look like I imagined you? So far, I've had very bad luck guessing
what everybody looks like. Ron didn't look like I imagined, nor did Chris
(Huff), but you do! "Psychics for dummies" really does work! j/k

That's funny. I guessed you pretty good too I thought after I saw the media
face thing you did a while ago. And beyond that everyone has not turned out
looking like I expected so far either.

Those are great, castle is severely aliased and the trees look like they got
hit with a gale force wind but it's fantastic stuff. You, and so many
others, have my admiration.

Looks much better in grayscale IMHO.

I grew up in a seatown and from the place my parents live I could always
see the sea. I feel very much connected to the sea

This was my first IRTC entry but I still like it very much.
