As a part of the POV Desktop Theme I think we should have a nice wallpaper.

Well, the opinions of what a nice POV-Ray wallpaper should look like may
vary a lot.
So what about a little competition (oh no, another competition!) so we
together can choose the best POV-Ray wallpaper?

The images shouldn't follow any rules, as it is up to each voter to decide
what is acceptable.

However, the authors as well as the voters could take these things in
consideration:
O The images should be nice to look at every day for a long time.
O The images should serve well as a background for icons ect...
O If it should be acceptable to use post-processing.
O If the image should also be interesting to look at.
O If the image should also be a kind of commercial for POV-Ray. (So
everybody can see that this great picture is made with POV-Ray.)
O Ect, ect...

Basically one should just vote for the image he/she would prefer to have as
wallpaper, but it should preferable also have a relationship with POV-Ray,
besides being made with POV-Ray.

So what do you think?

The problem is : any image, even the nicest, can become boring when
seen everyday as a wallpaper.  Maybe we could just advise the Pov-Theme
users to search themselves for an image thay like, they could change
when they want.  IRTC, for example, is a good source, refreshed
every 2 months...  That's usually where I get my wallpaper when I
want one !

Hmm.. I'd prefer that those of you who think they've made a good scene(a "final"
scene. if such exist) make a 1024x768 (or 1280x1024) render of it and we link
them all on the theme page... That way we have several different, and good
images to use.

You could easily cook up a program which will choose a random wallpaper every
time you start Windows.

I think we could do both.

I thought it would be nice with at least one image which also have a
relationship with POV-Ray, besides being made with POV-Ray.

The image could for example be a kind of commercial for POV-Ray. (So
everybody can see that this great picture is made with POV-Ray.)

Maybe have the text-string "POV-Ray" as a major object in the scene or
something.

Also, it would be nice to have one image included in the theme so lazy
people don't have to get one from the net.

Anyway, all wallpapers are appreciated!
