Java Script :)

It's actually not really correct, it should say document.write...... and
also should be formatted properly (that was just for Ken ;-)

Can someone show me it in ADA 95? he he he

Hey, I'm not ADVANCED enough to program in C++ yet! he he he, well
actually, I can do a bit, but not enough to make anything really
interesting... I'm better at the smaller languages, like VB (at least it's
actually COMPILED now!!!), JavaScript, VBScript and of course MAXScript...

Although I have made a few interesting things in my time... like an
encryption program called Thermal and some interesting proggies that
generated Persian domes... Also with the help of some of Dan Farmer's old
code buried deep in the Official POV-Ray CD-ROM I made a nice wireframe
graphics display engine... and I've produced 2 interactive CD-ROMs... but
that's really about it for me for the moment, until I learn something more
inpressive like ADA... then I'll REALLY start having fun :))))))

An encryption program? Ooohh... take a look at mine:

(sorry for the lack of worldwide download links... SimTelNet is updating
their servers with the new version as I type ;)
</blatant advertising>

it :))

Now why didn't I release some shareware stuff before? :P
Written in C using the excellent (and free.. ;) MinGW32 compiler...

no, but how about befunge98?
just follow the arrows...

Of course I could have made this program alot harder to read... here's
a little legend for the symbols used:
<>v^ : go in the arrows direction
k : repeat next command x number of time, x is on the stack.
, : print the character on the stack
: : duplicate first on stack
| : if first on stack is zero go north else south
@ : stop and quit

remember that befunge is stackbased.

Um, yes, I didn't follow ANY of that... :)

Got the Assembler version anyone? Or maybe Fortran? ;-)

nop, I dont... but it's the same (almost) as the other version higher up
in the thred. I used a loop of 20000 writes.
here comes the readable (yeah right...):
           v <
55*4*5*8*5*>"!!!ESAELP"8k,1-:|
                             @
and here are the comments for the second line by character-number:
1,2 : put two 5es on the stack
3 : mulitply the two numbers on the stack and put
the result (5*5=25) on the stack
4 : put a 4 on the stack
5 : multiply (25*4=100)
6 : add a 5 on the stack
7 : multiply (100*5=500)
8 : add a 8 to the stack
9 : multiply (500*8=4000)
10 : add a 5 on the stack
11 : multiply (4000*5=20000)
12 : change the direction of the "cursor" that reads the program
13-23 : put the word PLEASE!!! on the stack
24 : put an 8 on the stack
25 : repeat next command 8 times (8 is on top of the stack) and pop it
26 : print the character on top of the stack (and pop it)
27,28 : put a 1 on the stack and subtract it from the number before
29 : duplicate the top of the stack
30 : if the top of the stack is 0 quit (that is go south) else go north

if we go north then turn left at the "arrows" to get to the "PLEASE!!!"
string.

not to hard was it?

/Peter Toneby, who now has changed his name to appear correctly...

I don't know... but it doesn't really seem like a practical language...
(well, not to me anyway...)
