You know you've been raytracing too long when your hard-drive and
scanner both join a religous cult and commit suicide within hours of
each hour.
<sniff, sniff>

        RIP
Quantum Fireball.

        RIP
   ScanMagic.

Managed to throw all '.POV's over the network before the h-d's death but
lost all the rendered images. <Sniff>

    Graham.

Please excuse the previous message, I'm running the laptop for emergency
web access and forgot to change 'Send HTML by default' to off.

Let me offer my sincere apologies on the recent death in
your family. I can sympathize with your plight as I too
had a recent death in my family at the hands of Microsofts
scandisk program. 2.5 years of rendered and collected images.
450 megs of images and image utilities gone in an instant.
<Whah ! Whah !>

Hang in there as best you can. The black, wretched, feeling
in your heart will start to go away after a short half dozen
months or so.

Wish this wouldn't come up every once in a while Ken. You make me
shudder to think of such a catastrophe.
I've lost some things before too, due to my own idiocy. Not *that* awful
though, and sure you get over it but you *never* forget it, right? So
Ken, we grieve with you I'm sure, but maybe not as badly.
Hmm, I'm feeling better anyways 8*|

How does scandisk destroy data? I thought its purpose was to rescue
damaged data.

 That is what "THEY" want you to believe !

 Trust no one !

 The truth is out there !

 Seriously I have lost hundreds of mega bytes of data including Pov
generated scene files and images at the hands of the program scandisk.
Use it with caution and only under your supervision. Never set it to
fix problems automaticaly and never let if fix something without at
least verifying the problem really exsists. Use Norton utilities if
you have it instead.
