You may need to do a 'get new groups' to see the following newly-created local
groups, depending on your newsreader software.
irtc.general General IRTC discussion
irtc.stills Discussion about the IRTC stills competition
irtc.animations Discussion about the IRTC animation competition

Thank you for creating the new newsgroups, I've already subscribed : ).
Do you know if the IRTC mailing lists are still maintained?
Greetings,
Marc

Came up automatically for me, asking me to "Subscribe" (or not) to any of the
three (I chose all).
And they are quite empty thus far. Lets begin filling them shall we?

This may be too early to speculate on this but is anyone able to post to the
new "irtc" ng's?
My reader won't even open an empty Window at one, and does not allow posting
into an empty group anyway apparently.
I noticed that the "junk" ng isn't postable either and it does have one
article there. Any advisement appreciated.

oh yes, definitely. this is just an adjunct to them, so that IRTC entrants who
also happen to use POV-Ray as their renderer of choice can have a threaded
forum in which to talk.

I am still unable to post there at any of the irtc ng's.
Although reading the test posts works okay now.
Error message simply states that I am unable to post at {irtc}.
Is it possible that the protocol is different (never mind me, I don't know
what I'm talking about)? I mean, "nntp" is what I have set up for TCP as it
says in the configuration of this newsreader (WinVN).
I'm waiting to see if others can post there.

Whups sorry. It was a permissions problem that I didn't notice since I'm in a
different authorisation group than the public. It should work now.

Sounds good.
Are these groups a mirror of the IRTC mailing lists ?
Thanx,
Al.
