Rough sketch intent for my current POV scene. I may not get this far but it's
what I have in mind. I'm already simplifying some of the forms. :)

Seems you've done a "rough" sketch before...

Yes I have,
I'm revisiting old work. Ny fish, bugs, Jack...Trying to rebuild/re-work models
I build in 3DS Max using only POV code - no triangles. A bit of a challenge. I
never liked the figures flanking the columns. I was just learning Max at the
time. Attached is my original sketch from '94.
Where did you find this... I couldn't even find this rendering...only have the
sketch. haha

I get a sense of déjà vu looking at that one... Revisiting one of your
older scene I see.

Yep, I've been looking through my old sketch books, seeing if anything inspires
me. I always thought this 'nest' scene needed vegetation and more atmosphere.
It's going to be a challenge completing the creature the way I original sketched
it and modeled it in Max. I honestly don't remember converting the scene from
triangles to POV and posting it here. ...it was almost 30 years ago. :-)

I'm fairly certain I downloaded those from CompuServe, all those years ago!

Hey Colin, this is a long shot but would you be able to identify some of the
missing scene authors on this article?
https://19100.neocities.org/guides/povray2vs3
Also, your collection wouldn't happen to have a file called "crysta.gif" would
it? Would be great to see those files preserved (eg. on archive.org) actually,
my attempts to find an archive of that stuff haven't been successful so far.
Thanks!

I've checked the website and sorry but I can only identify them as being from
the POV-Team.
The only crystal image I have is Stephen Coy's vcystral.v/.tga
Sorry!

Thanks for having a look guys. Unfortunately not BW, "crysta.gif" is a photo
reference that crystal.pov is based on, according to the source it was available
from Library 17 on CompuServe which is why I asked. David Buck took the photo
though so maybe he still has it.
