Here's a sample picture demonstrating usage of the files posted in the
povray.binaries.scene-files section here:

This is a re-render of the original picture posted with the first release of the
Bordered Characters files for comparison. It demonstrates some improvements to
various characters and to the micro-justification feature.

Sacramento is the state capitol of California. The fellow pictured in my POV-Ray
image is this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJmFEv6BHM0

I used this image to demonstrate the bordered character files because it was the
first scene I made that used them, and it demonstrates the improvements since
the first release. I can see how it might seem odd to someone who's not familiar
with California. I don't have anything against people from Sacramento, this is
just a political cartoon.

It is obvious, for the well-informed, that Sacramento was used as a place-holder for
the real location: Washington, D.C.

I understand this may not be the intended use of the 'BorderChars', but 
one runs the risk when publishing to the ether.

I might need to look into co-incident surfaces, if I want to go further.

My intended use for the characters is whatever anyone wants to use them for! I'm
very excited to see them used in the creative manner that you're using them!

I think you would see coincident surface problems immediately if they were
there. Or maybe the POV-Ray programmers have solved the coincident surface
problem. If you haven't already, replace the wood texture with a plain color to
check since the more complex wood texture may camouflage the coincident surface
noise.

You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words. One of the things I like best
about POV-Ray is that it encourages people to share and help each other. I can't
do as much as many others, but I want to share what I can and show appreciation
for what others have done as well. As the world devolves into chaos it means a
lot to me that a someone, somewhere in the world, took a moment to say thanks.
