Hello everyone,

Not the best render, but I thought I'd post it here instead of just
sitting on it. I don't know where the extra modifications went; they
disappeared after moving the terminations outward. Oh well.

Anyway, to save time when rendering, I prerendered the shadow with
photons and then rendered the crystal on top of that with focal blur.
Rune's Illusion include file is useful for projecting a prerendered
scene into a scene. I shrunk it down with IrfanView and added color
bleeding (in POV) after that.

I hope you like it!

Sam

These are beautiful renders, Sam. Keep them coming. I wouldn't mind
being treated to a lapidary exposition here on p.b.i.

"Not the best render" but nice one indeed! your color bleeding gives a
pretty realistic extra touch.
I never tried it but that gives me willing to do.

Lovely render. Very nice.

Is that method of physically rendering a scene on a scene faster than saving
the photon data and then loading it to render the final scene?

Thanks Skip! I plan to render minerals that I have found and/or have in
my collection.

Well good luck with it! Instructions for use are given in the file itself.

Gracias :)

I don't know. It depends on whether you save time with both rendering
and parsing, or just parsing. If it's the latter, then probably not.
