That looks great, the clouds have something - toxic. :-)

How did you create meshes from the isosurfaces?

I hope so... this is going to be a terrific image!

I agree with another poster who points that clouds look a bit toxic,
but also agree that they are just amazing, giving the impression of a
classical painting. I have problems discerning where is the horizon
line, but I'm not sure if that's necessarily a bad thing....

I've seen clouds this colour - but even if I hadn't they fit the mood I'm
ultimately trying to achieve.
I wondered about the horizon line and one or two attempts to push it back
have been disasters so I added some mist to obscure the horizon and give the
impression that the cloud is close and enclosing the scene - hence the boats
sailing through it. I also like the claustrophobic feeling.

Very nice image. The sky reminds me of several paintings by Turner. The
wildness of the clouds seams a little out of order with the crisp details
of the foreground but the standing stones help balance it out. Look
forward to seeing the finished image.

Oh. My. God.

That's fantastic! Awesome! I love the "painting" feel you gave... really
artistic and sensible. Breathtaking.

Will you have it wallpaper-sized? Please? :-)

Congrats.

I can't tell what is going on past the vegetation. I see clouds and they
seem to be reflecting but the reflective surface doesn't look very much like
water. I couldn't tell what those ships were until someone said they were
ships. However, you said you were remodelling them so ignore that. i'm also
not sure where my attention should be focused. Everything past the
vegetation is a little confusing, or too turbulent and the lighting in the
forground doesn't draw my eye anywere, rather everywhere and jumping around.
(sorry if i'm a bit harsh, i didn't want to just leave it at "wow" so i dug
into it a little more)

all in all it's really good. like all the rest of your work, and shows a lot
of promise. I can't wait until it's finished.

Don't worry, I appreciate all your comments :-) I miss things when I get
deeply engrossed in a picture, which is why I publish them here, before they
are finished.

The picture will make a lot more sense when the main figure is introduced.
The picture is designed to be far larger in size and will I think work
better then.

Thanks, at the moment I'm still hooked on plant detail which accounts for
much of the complexity I may well loose some rocks.

I'm curious about the characters.

At the moment I'm modelling a girl on horseback holding an arm out to
receive an eagle.. I may or maynot add other characters at a month a
character... need I say more. I'm also having problems with UV mapping, a
major, major task!
