Looks good, if nothing like how it's described in the books. I'm curious  
though: What books are you referring to? I've read almost all of the books  
he's written, and none of the series is called "Krondor's chronicles". Are  
you perhaps reading translated editions?

Krondor's Chronicles are a serie of books. The french titles are :
- Pug, l'apprenti
- Milamber, le mage
- Silverthorn

- Prince de Sang

Those would be "Magician: Apprentice" and "Magician: Master". It's really  
just one book ("Magician"), but some publishers split it into two.

As for what the place in question is called in the original language, see  
my signature.


Those three ("Magician", "Silverthorn", "A darkness at Sethanon") form the  
series "The Riftwar Saga".

I don't get why the French publisher changed the name of the series. I  
could understand if they wanted a French name for it, but if they're gonna  
have an English title, they could have just stuck with the original.

I'm not sure what series that book, and the next one ("The king's  
buccaneer"), officially belongs to, but I've seen them referred to as  
"Krondor's sons". I've also seen them bundled with "The riftwar saga", but  
I think that's just laziness on the part of book-store keepers.



I have to say, I think you're really missing out by reading the French  
translations. A translator will never be able to capture the "feel" of the  
writing. Unless your English reading comprehension is really poor (judging  
 from your posts, that doesn't seem to be the case), I really recommend  
that you try to get hold of the English versions.

Yes, it's a really strange idea !

There is a continuity between the 4 first books and this one, In the 
french edition it is presented as the continuation of the saga
