I've been tinkering with the sky on this old pic. I'm using Rune's fast
sky: ( http://runevision.com/3d/povgoodies/povgoodies.asp ) But I'm getting
this odd shadow on my media sphere, which is odd since it doesn't have any
absorbtion or scattering components. Just emission. Can anyone give me a
hint on how to fix this, because I'm liking the way the sky is working with
the rest of the landscape (esp the shadows cast by the clouds.)

Try raising max_trace_level. AFAIK, Rune's fast
sky is a set of planes with similiar texturing to do
crude, but in most cases sufficient, stacked-planes
clouds.
Thus, rays passing through too many objects might
interfere.

I raised it to 10 and that completely fixed it. Thanks a lot, I was wasting
a lot of time on that and I probably wouldn't have guessed it.
