Hey folks!

This one will be part of my next image: It's the piano standing in our
living-room. It's a shame i can't play it, but at least i got it into POV
*g*.

This one took 45min to render with MLPov 0.81, including the nice HDRI
kitchen probe (which really adds a lot to the image) and Radiosity_IndoorHQ
settings from "rad_def.inc" at 1024x768 AA 0.3 (i cut away some parts of the
image where only the hdri map was visible).

Unfortunately there is heavy aliasing on almost all the edges. I'm using
Round_Box_Merge from "shapes.inc", but i think that cannot be the real
problem. Any ideas?

It would also be nice if you could give me some comments about the textures.
I'm no texturing god, so any help is appreciated *g*

greetings,
Florian

Looks good.
Was that pixelization (big pixels in HDRI map) done intentionally?
I believe you'll place some walls in that room so that HDRI map
will not be visible in the background. Because it becomes too
boring :) Before we had the same objects (teapot, Chevy) now we
have the same place for those objects (Uffizi, kitchen etc. :)

Gena.

Hey Gena!

No, but it was my first try with HDRI and i didn't know how to avoid it... I
just used spherical mapping and hit the render button ;-)

The final scene will not use HDRI at all, this one was only a test

There will propably come a time when your first raytraced image isn't
supposed to be some reflective spheres over a checkered plane but some
reflective spheres in a HDRI sky sphere ;-)

Thanks for your comments
Florian
