I think it would be a good idea to add the contents of the TAG Questions 
& Answers (AKA POV-Ray FAQ, http://tag.povray.org/povQandT/) to the Wiki.

there is a faq section in the dist docs, but i'll have a look ....

That one is based on the other. The TAG version is easier to update... :-)

Could it be then that dist doc version is a duplication of effort, and that 
simply including a link in the docs to the TAG version is all that's needed?

I see several opportunities here and I'm not trying to hijack that process 
(TAG FAQ), but I'd be willing to look into hosting that over on the Wiki. 
This could also fit in with the changes to the Wiki main page that I'm 
considering.

Any thought's questions, or concerns?

As a POV-Ray user, I'd love to have all documentation together in my 
inbuilt help, rather than dig them out from various different sources - 
even if their addresses are given in the doc.

I agree, sometimes I'm offline for weeks and F1 is a godsend.

  Since the wiki is much easier to edit, I'll have to agree. The current
Q&T pages are a pain to edit (and haven't been for many years).

Sounds like something I ought to follow up on then ....

Several things:

Q&T shows last updated 4Feb2006 so perhaps on the Wiki is a good spot for 
ease of editing.

On the TAG homepage I see Chris Colefax as webmaster is that who I should 
contact for the html markup ... a zip package?

I see this as a migration, not much sense in having same content in more 
than one place ... right?

I think the Knowledgebase namespace is a good spot for the content:
http://wiki.povray.org/content/Knowledgebase:Contents

I will post the content and protect it so only registered users can 
add/change it .... in other words I don't want to become the gardener!

Did I leave anything out?
