Hallo POVCyg-users,
today, I have downloaded povcyg_350c.zip and tried to install the binaries.
According to the documentation in INSTALL, executing
$ ./configure
should run before
$ make install
is called. This is okay for me und works for other packages. But where is
the script 'configure' located?

First it is a very bad idea (tm) to use such an outdated version of
POV-Ray. Apart from that the INSTALL file you cite from is for the
source version.
The latest POV-Ray generic source version will build on Cygwin without
problems.

Whatever you have is not an official version of POV-Ray. You will need to
contact the person who made the unofficial version available to you if there
are problems with it.
