Yesterday - while looking TV I did some Extrem-Tests with SMPOV.
I tried to render with 8 POV-Instances a picture out of 600 tiles.
So At last it ended up in a povengine-crash with the messagebox
"no windows-resources". "click ok to end program ..."

Maybe 8 instances on a picturesize of 2000x2000 is somehow to much ....

Here is the good-news:
Staying with 2 running instances (on 1 PC and 3 other CPU's on the other
PC's) the following tests were running fine with the expected
picture-result:

biscuit.pov rendered in 2000x2000 in 400 Tiles (S) from 08-15-2002 /
00:58:03 to 08-15-2002 / 01:19:14 (1272).
desk.pov rendered in 2040x2000 in 500 Tiles (S) from 08-15-2002 / 01:24:04
to 08-15-2002 / 01:52:48 (1725).
landscape.pov rendered in 2040x2000 in 500 Tiles (S) from 08-15-2002 /
01:52:53 to 08-15-2002 / 03:21:12 (5300).

As the rendering was on only 3 PC's in this case the time is not intresting,
this was just a test if PP would
append properly even high tile-numbers.
Was nice to see that even 400 Tiles were automatically put together to a
perfect picture ...
wherever they are rendered.

Must explain this more near:
The 8 instances are on 1 DUAL Athlon 2000+ PC.

Of course 8 instances distributed on many PC's is no problem.

Also two instances on 1 PC has never made any trouble.

The described "windows resources" problem could only arrise if someone has
8 Processors.
