I tried to include the directive skies.inc and then access the files i
needed
i renedered it and it now has saved the skies inc to the tab on top of the
editor you know
where it says torus1 etc. is there a way of getting rid of those

I have extreme problems to understand what you are trying to do, maybe
rephrase your question.

Just close the open files you don't want open. You won't see them any more.

Like Ken says, probably.
It seems the file simply needs closing, as per this messages Subject line
instructs. Can also use the Close button (Windows 3.5) or File menu, then
Close.
You may also use Ctrl Tab to switch among the files (tabs) to get to the one
you would like to close.
