Hmm. Is it just my system, or does this happen to everyone:
Using version 3.1g (or MegaPov 0.5a), I can select a portion of text, either
with the mouse or by holding down the shift key while moving my cursor.
Then, if I use the control key with my cursor arrows, I can move the entire
screen up and down one line (which is supposed to happen). However, when I
move my cursor to a different position using the keyboard, the hilighted
portion of text remains hilighted.
If I click with the mouse on the same side of the hilight that contains the
cursor (above or below the hilighted portion), it will also remain.
I know, I know, it's completely nit-picky and has nothing whatsoever to do
with the functionality of POV, but I figure it might be a simple fix...
As a side note, I did want to check ahead of time to see if this hadn't
already been mentioned, and came across this statement in "How to post bug
reports" from p.a.f-a-q posted on 1/4/99:
"There is a list of bugfixes for the most recent versions of POV-Ray
posted in the povray.announce.frequently-asked-questions group."
Uh, I couldn't find it. Anyone (ahem, Uncle Ken?) know where the current
list is? The document also mentions that possible bug reports should first
be discussed in povray.general, but since this is a windows-only bug, I
figured it belonged here.

Happens here too. What I think happens is by pressing Ctrl you forego the
highlighting (no more ability to Copy or Cut) yet the editor leaves it there
until refreshed over.
A minor bug indeed.
What I come across all the time is trying to mouse click at the beginning of
a highlighted line and have the highlighting go away but does not, so I
always fear overwriting something. Well, no fear really since it can be
undone but it's similar I guess to what you are saying.
Sorry, no sight of anything at the f.a.q. group either, only one of the most
recent postings by Ken T.

Thanks Ken, you are like the reference books on my bookshelves. I have no
excuse other than being too lazy to relist the f.a.q. group again.
I realize now that this text of changes (hint, hint) is in the Changes.txt
file which is distributed right along with POV-Ray in the first place. Knew
that before too, that's why I went looking for it again just now. You can
find it in the main folder, How C. Also has the editor info in there too.
On another note: it's been a couple of years since version 3.1 came about.
I felt I was reminescing over the things that were fixed since then while
reading through some of that text. The "beta 6" seems like it were new
yesterday. Ahhh, precious memories.

Ah, thanks to both of you! Actually, it was all an attempt to get Ken to
answer one of my posts - now I can die a happy man...

The more difficult goal is to get Ken to NOT answer any of your posts.
I'm not sure anyone has yet achieved that one.
