I don't have a problem with it at all so I don't think it's a problem with
the one POVRay is posting. Let me know and I can send you the one I'm
using. Warning: it's about 6MB in size!
Thanks,
Dave

I downloaded and installed PovRay this morning and I am getting this same
error. It happens when I open the help. I can click OK and the error
message goes away. When I click on a help item I get the same error
message. Again, I can click OK and see the item. It works. I can see
everything I've tried to see, so far. But it's a very irrititating to use
the help. It happens every time I click on something.
I installed PovRay in E:\Program Files\Povray. I didn't want to use the
full name suggested by the installation. I try to keep names from getting
too long for a variety of reasons. I wonder if this has something to do
with the problem.
I have clicked directly on the help file and I get the same problem.
I'm using Win98 on a P3 450 with 256 meg ram. The computer is about 4
months old. PovRay is installed in a 13 gig partionion on a 20 gig hard
drive.
The exact message text is: "An error exists in this help file. Contact
your application vendor for an updated Help file. (1024)".
The PovRay version is 3.1g.

This is a follow up to my previous message.
I just realized that most of the features in the help file don't function.
The right and left arrow, back and options are all ignored.
I can click on a link, get the error message, click OK and see the help
text. Nothing else works.
