I get two immediate ideas..
1) is your HDD full?
2) have you a working directory in the output images setting in the ini file?
Look in Tools->Edit master povray.ini
Search for this thing:
Output_File_Name=C:\graphic\POV-Ray for Windows v3.1\images\
Make sure the =C:\................ thing is a valid path.
