Anyone know of a way to convert IGES files to POVRAY input?

Thanks,

Sorry for that expensive "just". I have forgotten that now Rhino is
cashware.

No more ideas, sorry.

In the usenet group alt.cad there has been recent discussion
about IGES viewers and conversion programs and the prices
have ranged from $800 all the way up to $2200 so in comparison
Rhino is a bargin :)

Catching up to this thread rather late but, this is one thing
that blows my mind about AMAPI, announced a while ago in
alt.raytracing ( or maybe it was alt.machines.cnc ) Amapi has an iges
and a pov file export feature. I'm trying the the program now but with
any modeller you have to "get" the philosophy behind it to make it a
"joy to work with " :-). My background is CAD/CAM and yes IGES
translators even as standalone start at about $500. (Canadian EH!)
There are good ones and not so good ones because IGES contains so much
data about "trimmed" surfaces and how to interpret them into your
particular program. Amapi is selling for $399 and seems to be pretty
slick. It's still a gross amount of money if you're used to freeware.
