Nathan Kopp's presence here has been dearth (scarce, sparse, not around much
:)) lately. Makes a person wonder if it's all the official POV-Ray Trace time
or the holidays being the cause.
No matter, just knowing POV-Ray isn't at an end is good enough to know.
Likewise MegaPov apparently, so no, MegaPov isn't finished yet. Yes, latest
version is still at 0.6a.

From Nathan, posted last millenium (20/12/2000) :

Smellenbergh is putting together 0.6b with some bug fixes and minor
enhancements. I've put all of my recent bugfixes into POV 3.5, but I'll try
to work some of them into MegaPov.

Wonderful! Will you be adding the stuff from Jerome now?

What stuff exactly are you referring to?

He says he sent you the stuff from his patch
(http://perso.enst.fr/~jberger/mpov/mpov.html), and that he saw some parts
of it in the MegaPOV sources, but they were commented out or something. They
fix bugs in media, and and some stuff. Sorry I can't be more specific. I
don't know much about your communication or his patch. I just know it's a
good thing.

We think so! :-)
Most of that stuff is already in 0.6b.

We didn't ask Jerome's permission yet to add his stuff. We will do so
but Jerome, if you have no objections you can let us know in advance :-)

For you Mac users who have MacOS X: Yes there will be a carbonised
version of MegaPOV 0.6b!

No release date yet but as soon as possible.
There is still quite a bit of work to do!

Joy! : )

Last time I checked with him, he commented that he didn't know why Nathan
*hadn't* added the stuff. He wants it in MegaPOV, as far as I know.
