When ever i open a file and try to render it if it has INC or if it is
from an Ini file i get this message....

File init error.
Error opening output file.

Returned from renderer (non-zero return value)

What does it mean?

Not sure. Not sure of the question either.
Are you saying that if a rendering using filename.inc or filename.ini is
attempted that this error occurs? ini files don't render at all I'm pretty
sure, I know they don't in Windows versions. However I know that a file
with the inc extension will render fine as long as it has scene elements in
it.
Thought maybe you meant with a include (inc) file within a typical pov file
you got that error but I don't see that happening here in MegaPov 6.0.
Wonder if you got the "bad" MegaPov 0.6 which was only available shortly
before Nathan corrected it.

i mean if i call a pov file in an ini file it will give me the error, and if i
call an INC file in a pov file it will give the error. but as you said it
might be the "Bad" MegaPov 0.6. But since i had to reformat my computer and in
so doing lost all my data (made a backup but the backup went AWOL! and lost a
LOT of personal in addition to my pov files :{ ) so now i gotta get all the
files from scratch...
