Mad scrolling: Mega side effect, virus, or ghost? (Message 1 to 4 of 4)

I use two different PC's both with Megapov installed. They connect to
the internet via very different means and are in different buildings and
have very different mouses as pointing devices. Both are Win9x
machines.

I'm often noticing that when I scroll, the scrolling goes about 100X
faster and further than I want, and the little arrows on the side get
about 10x bigger.

Anyone else notice this? Is this a side effect of mega, a virus, or
what?

This is one of the lesser-known features of MegaPOV. In order to speed
up rendering, it installs a Pentium 12000 on your computer. (I'm hoping
they port this to Mac soon, I could use a faster G4.) As far as going
too far, you just have to be quicker on the finger, as the operating
system isn't designed around such a fast processor. Personally, I think
it's a small price to pay.

Dude, this sounds like a bug.

Scroll what? The message window in MegaPov? The edit window in MegaPov?
Any window component that scrolls in all applications?

The movement of the cursor.

In Megapov on one PC, it was spookily linked to the action of the mouse, and
no no buttons were pushed. It was just going up,up,up,up.

On the other PC, this effect also occurred in 'another' program, which if my
memory serves me was Netscape.
