Hi,
Has anyone compiled linux version (3.6.1) povray using cygwin on Core 2 Duo? I
am trying to do it but compilation stops at tiff library.

You need to install the tiff dev sources for your linux, dunno if cygwin has 
that to be honest... You'll also need the libs for the other graphic formats 
that pov ray uses if you want to use them for output in pov ray.
