Hi(gh)!
I tried to render a simple scene (no external files), but all I got is this:
povray +i20160826vorspann.pov +otest.png +fn +w640 +h480 +a.3 +k1 +p
Failed to parse command-line option
Obviously, the last two system upgrades during the last six weeks messed
up my POV-Ray installation (earlier today, not even the .povray folder
in my /home/yadgar directory existed!), so I purged povray and
re-installed it - but it still doesn't work!
I run Debian Stable 8.3 on an amd64.

Try +a0.3 instead of +a.3

Yes, that's been it! Strange... IIRC, in earlier version also +a.3
worked! Or am I about to become demented?

Are you ironic? How can you "live" with a process slowing depriving you
of your entire self? Are you both in fact diagnosed with Alzheimer's?
If that's for real, very soon I will no longer be able to program
anything... and I'm only 47!

Well, I do have Mantle Cell Lymphoma which (untreated) has a good chance
of spreading to my brain. Luckily, I am having it treated.

would certainly think we are fractionally insane ;-)
Actually, in British English 'demented' != 'dementia'. We normally use
it as meaning insane (but usually in a good way).

Oh, I just concluded from the German meaning of "dement" - it must be
one of those infamous "false friends", like for example "actual"
mistaken for "current", or "undertaker" for "entrepreneur"...
And, of course, it takes a good deal of madness to use POV-Ray!
