Can you suggest a cad modeler for linux for developing models to run
through Povray. I have used Midnight modeler under windows, is there a
similar cad program for Linux?

You may consider to include AERO (http://www.ee.uwa.edu.au/~braunl/aero/)
in your list. It also contains some sort of modeller.

Add to those already mentioned -

I am not sure how dedicated any of these are to Povray modelling but
there is usualy a reason I bookmark a site so they should be worth
checking into of your looking for 3D related materials for unix like
operating systems.

Daniel Skarda's Links page contains many links to UNIX related
