I know that many of you have made minor modifications to the Makefile
(paths, compiler switches, etc.) to get POV-Ray to compile on different
flavors of Unix.  If people could let me know what options work for
different platforms, I can add those to the Makefile, thus sparing
future POV-Ray users frustration.
