Here's a tutorial on splines, the basic beginner's version, not for
sPatch but for Animation Master. The previously referenced tutorials
are good for experts, but I needed to see the content at the below link:

Mark Solly has a couple of beginner to intermediate level sPatch tutorials

For a little bit of inspiration for what can be achieved with sPatch,

There's also a few tutorials at this site (if you rummage around a bit),
however they're in Japanese, so they may be a little more challenging to
follow.
PS For Garvin Hicking's tutorial link on Mike Clifton's sPatch Home
Page, which is in German, you can use the translate German to English
feature at AltaVista's search page. It's not perfect, but it is alot easier
than trying to translate it yourself with a foreign-language dictionary.
