Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a sphere a light source.
Like a light bulb for a lamp or something?

You can find it in the POV docs under "Assigning an Object to a Light
Source".

Check the manual for looks_like, should be in light sources..
other way :
boost up the ambient of the object, turn radiosity on, experiment..
This last is a approach that is _very_ experimental and require much of tweaking. See
recent posts in binaries.images . (Box with no lights, Box with a light, RadioRoom,
Money
see Monkey doo)
