I keep getting this error message when I try to render an image.
It says:
" INI File error.
Bad option syntax or error opening .INI/ . DEF file '//'. " anyone know
whats wrong?

Thanks.
John

While using PoV-ray 3.0x, one reason for this message could be, that you
must save your filename with the extension *.pov . If you do'nt type
"filename.pov" PoV-Ray will save your scene file as a simple text file
without any extension, which in turn it can't render.
A misstake, I make ever and ever for myself, which really annoys me, but
I do'nt know this restriction from any other text editor.

Call "povray -i scene.pov" instead of "povray scene.pov". The -i
specifies the input file, and if it is not present POV-Ray tries to
interpret your scene.pov as an initialization file.
