In the last few years I have found some finished, partly ancient Povray models
on the Internet, upgraded to version 3.7 and expanded a little.
I now wanted to publish them gradually on my website.

The first one is a Corvette from the Star Wars Universe.
https://www.maetes.com/en/blog/new-rubric-povray-ox-and-star-wars-corvette-cr90

Later it will be the turn of other models, which I hope I can also teach to fly
and shoot, but that will take some time
I have small movies in mind that I would like to create.
But before that, I want to try to get in touch with the original programmer of
the scripts.

If you think I publish everything I find under my name, please read the info
page.
https://www.maetes.com/en/povray-ox/informations

I hope the models will become more numerous quickly, and someone can use them.

Ma

Nice.
Maybe if you post an image from the movie, we can offer some ideas for
texturing, etc to make them look even better.

I see that there are also folks who have 3D models for printing, so there must
be good geometry out there as well, if that needs any updating too (missing
pieces, simplistic placeholders, etc)

The surface could use some light greebling, but it's looking great! :)

I never got into Star Wars, but that craft does look nice. fwiw, if you need a
'tie fighter', see the demo for 'Tabulated' (my wiki page).

First of all, I want to publish the repaired and tidy models. Then I start with
extensions.

I don't dare to touch textures for the time being, I'm not good at that. I want
to see the models fly and shoot first:)

Two of them completed their first flight years ago, but that was only
improvised.

JR, where is your wiki page?

What we could do with is a page where all Povrayers present their websites. I
actually wanted to do it, but nothing has come of it so far.

That ship is the Blockade Runner that we see at the start of Episode 4,
«A New Hope».

<wiki.povray.org/content/User:Jr>

has the most recent versions of my stuff, 'Tabulated()' has had one bug "slain"
(at least, from memory :-)) since the original thread. cheers.

I just testet it, but the tie is one big mesh, without textures or even multiple
meshes so that we know where is what.

The same goes for the shuttle, which I was also interested in.
And that doesn't look like the original shuttle :)
Bit it looks very detailed, as black as it is.

Doesn't matter, I have a good model of the Tie-Fighter.

yes, sorry, all those meshes were converted from existing; the library's home
page has all the examples.
