Hi all,
I was wondering whether anyone had some sort of POV macro for constructing a
brick wall.
Thanks

Look in:
http://povray.org/links/POV-Ray_Include_Macro_and_Object_Files/Macro_Files/
(and search for the word "brick").

Lots of brick walls about. One of the best for realistic texturing can be seen
on Jeff Lee's brick tutorial page; http://www.gate.net/~shipbrk/
I made an isosurface for brick walls that was included in "Isosurface mesh"
posted recently in p.b.s-f (11 Nov. ) This gives control over brick dimensions
and joint depth and thickness, but only has a simple uniform texturing.
There are many others using individually defined bricks. These give good
control, but tend to be slow rendering.

I have a macro that builds walls out of isosurface blocks (it's geared
towards stone block walls as opposed to brick walls (it's pretty easy to
tweak though)). It's ungodly slow. The source is in p.b.s-f ("Source for
isosurface blocks and columns": 9/1/2000). I will eventually have it on my
website (amongst other things).
There are plenty of good brick wall macros out there. You should be able to
find one that is close to what you have in mind.
