Are there any plans to make the actual coding environment more user
friendly?  Also, will we ever get to see an object oriented implementation
of the POVRay language, similar to something like Javascript?

  Are you talking about the POV-Ray source code (which this group is about)
or the POV-Ray scripting language?
  In the first case the answer is yes. In the second case the answer is that
it's already user-friendly (although not perfect).
