There are conversion programs that will convert from .dxf 2 .pov.
Either of these should do the job for you and I suggest you get both.

Before you ask there are no conversion programs that will convert from
.pov file format to any other file format. It is a common question and
unfortunately the answer is no.
May I also suggest while you are a new user that you post your questions
in the povray.newuser group on this server. This group is more for the
discussion of the programming aspects of Povray and not for the general
discussion on using the program. You will find a lot of people in the new
user group that will be happy to field any questions you may have. There
is an faq called the VFAQ we put together that you should consider as
mandatory reading. Stop by the following site when you get the time and
bookmark the it for future reference. Also check out my links page for
more utilites and tutorials on using Povray than you will ever need.
