Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the MS DirectX SDK
for V6.1 other than from MS? I am wanting to make a game using it
and the images I make from POVRAY, but I may have to resort to an
earlier version of the SDK. They have closed the temporary access
for it when it was new, and it is now only available by subscription
to the MSDN, which I let lapse.
Thanks in advance.
Bruce.

PS. A great book on the subject is (I'm not joking):

I have only found 6.0, but it should work just as well... Download from:

ftp://ftp.torget.se/pub/games/microsoft/dx6sdkimage.exe
or
ftp://ftp.uni-muenster.de/share/public3/win95/devel/dx6sdk/dx6sdkimage.exe
